I am a highly skilled RTS award-winning director with over 22 years’ experience in media production. A warm, adaptable, unflappable, organised director with experience directing TV commercials, branded content, music promos and live and pre-recorded broadcast television.

Based in County Durham but working all over the UK, I have worked with Prod for several years across a range of projects and pitches but is particularly proud of the First Bus First series of films for First North, which shares intimate stories about how bus travel has enabled some dreams and ambitions to come true. These real life experiences are recreated for the storytellers as they journey back in time to share how bus travel helped transform their lives.

My passion lies in social and TV commercials, as well as recently working on a feature film. I also love to get behind the camera and shoot from time to time and can turn my hand to pretty much anything required on set. I’ve got a great eye for lighting and a thorough knowledge of the latest advances in kit and accessories. And when it comes to coffee, I’m your guy - I challenge anyone to out-drink me on set!

Finding my passion took a while growing up as being a photographer and filmmaker “wasn’t a job”. Well, at least I thought it wasn’t.

I was born and raised in the North East of England on a diet of TV and film. Discovering photographers such as Tom Stoddart, James Nachtwey and Anton Corbijn ignited the drive in me to start my own creative journey. Being told I had a natural eye for photography, combined with my constant curiosity of life and many years of hard work, has lead me to where I am today.

I am a photographer based in North Yorkshire, providing modern, vibrant style photography. Including digital and film photography. I love to shoot portraiture and interiors all over the UK.

I’ve always loved art and design, and when studying for a degree in graphic design, I became really interested in image making and photography. I think the combination is actually quite powerful - I love to create striking, graphic images.

I think I was about 12 years old when I took my first photo and the world has looked different ever since.

How is the physical composition put together? Where’s the light and shade? What’s going on behind the face? I’m always trying to find the answers and tell a story in my pictures, a story that will resonate differently with everyone who sees it.

Whether a portrait, a landscape, an interior or even a canapé, we all have our own, unique emotional responses; that’s what makes every job so fascinating and so enjoyable.
